November 24, 2017 and V3 still not available in OZ after promised delivery of November 10............. Poor form Garmin. Contacted Garmin and stock possibly expected in a further 3 to 4 weeks. Please Explain...........
I feel your pain. I paid full price to pre-order 5-Sep. Pushys website is now expecting them 15-Dec. Garmin AU website is saying 1-2 weeks. Mind you, the Garmin AU website has had lots of different predicted release dates over the last 3 months. Retailers here can only pass on what Garmin AU tells them, who I suspect is at the mercy of Garmin US, which I notice now has a 5-8 week processing time. I fear we'll lose our consignment to other countries, so will be lucky to get it this year. Sigh.
Sorry to hear, I ordered 29/9/17. The Garmin AU website still showing 1 to 2 weeks. I spoke to Garmin yesterday and advised them that they needed to change this to give us a more realistic date. 99 bikes showing February 2018 delivery!
Actually, Garmin Australia had received a small quantity early this month and sent them out already. I've been riding with my vector 3's for a couple of weeks....they're a lot better than what I expected...- happy with!
Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy for you that you got your hands on a set of these and I'm also glad that some stock is arriving down under which means we're not totally being neglected, just wondering how recently did you order? I'm pretty sure Garmin AU only had "click here to find a dealer" when I ordered mine through Pushys back in September. It's only recently that "add to cart" has appeared. But I could be wrong.
Ordered it late September. I don't think that they had received many in the first round. Also, resellers that discount products are usually allocated later deliveries....
Yes, I purchased from a reseller who does discount, but the pre-order at the time, 5-Sep, wasn't discounted. Paid full price. I assume Pushys hang on to my $1499, and Garmin don't get a dime until they get around to sending them out. Just annoying that Garmin didn't take orders when I ordered, so the only option was to go through a reseller. Also annoying that they offload to people who ordered through them direct after others ordered through a reseller. I get it though. Garmin get the whole lot, and don't have to share with a reseller, so why would they when they have limited stock. Hope you're enjoying the Vector 3's. I'm hoping I get mine before christmas. Not holding my breath though. Also hope that Pushys don't go out of business during the 3 months they have my $1499... Fingers are crossed.
