So Garmin, when we can expect to see availability? Your website says Q3/17 (i.e. you've got 1 week left) but my pre-order with Evans in the UK has just slipped to 20th October...
It's frustrating that it's looking like by the time I get my V3s, the weather is going to mean most of my rides are going to be on my trainer. It would have been good to be able to get some miles in while it's still comfortable out there (especially as I can never match my outdoor power output on a trainer). What's more annoying with my Evans pre-order though is that Evans charges your card at the time of pre-order, rather than at despatch like most other companies do these days, so I'm sitting with £850 less in my bank account while the delivery date moves further back...
I agree with NeilJonesOnline. It is annoying to pay A$1499 back on 5-Sep, and the (I think optimistic) date here in Aus is supposed to be 6-Nov. Garmin AU is still saying 3-5 weeks, so who knows when they'll get here. On the plus side, we're be heading into summer here. :) :cool:
Garmin’s website here in the US has gone from 3 to 5 weeks ship time to 5 to 8. I’m hoping that’s because they are shipping to their distributors and not that they are delayed even longer.
The constantly shifting release date on these and garmins absolute lack of any communication to pre order customers offering a genuine explanation as to why they have been constantly delayed is absolutely ridiculous. How hard is it to put a communication together for customers who have until this point waited patiently for over 2 months for their paid pre orders while garmin cant get their act together... come on garmin, time to engage!
REI briefly had them for pre-order earlier this week so I took the plunge. The confirmation email says estimated delivery is 11/14, curious to see if that date changes.
Ordered the first week in Oct from REI. Estimated arrival date was 10/25. I received an email 10/24 stating that they are on backorder, and asking me to respond if I want REI to "keep my order open beyond 11/12/17". I've written to them that I do. REI wrote back (moments ago) that the new estimated delivery date is 11/24.
