Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, my scale is also having connection issues today. It could upload only 1 out of 3 measurements.

My measurements are disappearing again. I reopened my Garmin support ticket. They think its related to workout uploads from my forerunner 935 as opposed to MFP sync, and it does seem things disappear after I upload. They asked me to send them my watches Garmin folder. So don't delete workouts after upload if you're having trouble, so you can give it to support.

Sigh, at least they are looking into it. Anybody else having trouble?

Upload from my Tanita via Edge 800 to GC is working again, However, entries of past days are deleted once I upload weight metrics for the next day.

    Garmin, please fix...

    Thanks,
    Jens

Ma73ko - we agree and our goal with an upcoming release is that Index weight data does take priority.

How about making the sync connections with 3rd parties have an option for being read only, and giving access to specific types of data? For example, if I could make the weight data read only by 3rd parties, but calorie data read/write. That way I can choose my priority data sources?

I have my Garmin connect synced with mfp,, im using a garmin index to measure my body. I almost jumped a hole in my ceiling when I found out it actually worked fine until I checked again in the evening... all data is erased again ;(

I don't understand why it synced fine with mfp all day (and my watch) and then suddenly everything gone....disconnecting my mfp again :(

  • We are confident that our recent release has corrected missing weight metrics for a majority of our users, that being said, there is a use cases that may cause this issue to occur from time to time. One possible scenario would be re-connecting a third party account to your Garmin Connect account. We have seen where the data between Garmin and third party accounts can differ during this communication and the last reported measurement is the one we accept. If this last known value comes from a third party account, and they only report weight back to us, we will then only display the last reported weight. We are aggressively working on our next release to resolve this conflict. Thank you for your patience as we work through these releases.

  • Data still disappearing. Fun part? Fitnesssyncer is able to hold on to the data just fine, garmin loses it's marbles every couple of days. I stand on those bloody scales every day, and only one or two days are logged in connect. Sad part? I switched over from Withings Scale to Garmin Index for the advance metrics... if over half of the time these aren't logged/overwritten/deleted, I could have kept using the Withings and have exactly the same data...
  • GJRodenburg - I think you may fall into the category of the third party account conflicts (Fitnesssyncer) that will be addressed in an upcoming release to Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect Mobile. - Ben
  • We have rolled out changes to Garmin Connect to hopefully resolve some of the other causes of weight metrics disappearing from Connect. Please continue to provide feedback here as we will continue to monitor and escalate this issue appropriately.

Also, some cleanup was done to restore previously missing weight entries in accounts that have been affected. If you are still missing previous days, please let us know within this thread.

As always, we appreciate your continued patience and thank you for all of the feedback.
