Index scale suddenly gives me bad value

The weight and muscle seem to be accurate but since last week, bone, fat and water seem to be wrong.

The firmware is the 3.0.0

Do someone got this bahaviour? ( see picture in attachment )

martin.jelle strangely enough I'm experiencing the exact same thing. Scale has been working great for past two months, today my body fat % dropped in half and other metrics were off (weight seemed to be ok). Did a full reset of the scale, nothing changed. Went into Garmin Connect on my phone, changed activity level, saved, then stepped back on scale. Body fat back went back to expected range. Didn't change anything in Garmin Connect then stepped on scale a second time and body fat % dropped in half again. Repeat the process by updating activity level and the scale showed correctly once, then went haywire the second time. If there's an upside it seems like something is wrong with Garmin Connect software rather than the hardware.
  • Same problem here, went from 17 body fat% to 11 overnight....

I've just noticed that the connect android app is no longer connected to the scale, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Same problem here, also since 3 days. I did a complete reset this morning but that did not solve the problem. Will change the activity level to see if that helps, but this sure sounds like a bad firmware bug.
  • Yep, me too - I weigh myself just about every night and my BF is about 15% - last night it was 9%. I checked my Activity Class which I have set to 7 (it really should be 8 but then that triggers 'athlete mode', which I'm certainly not), and it had reset itself to 5. I've changed in back to 7 and will see what happens when I weigh myself tonight.

Really wish I'd stuck with my Withings scales, but I wanted the Garmin integration
  • Have the same problem.
Since two days the Body Fat went down from 16% to 9% and Bone Mass increased from 5.2kg to 5.8kg.
Looks like a weird software problem.
Hard Reset helps for a single time.

Couldn't find where to change activity level in Garmin mobile app for IOS.
  • Same for me since September 7th body fat drop from 18% to 12%. Haven't changed anything.

    Same for me.
  • Can everyone please email/call/chat Garmin support with this issue? That way hopefully they'll realise it's a platform issue and not just a individual user problem, hopefully we then won't just get "try resetting it" from them

Same story for me - they might have changed algorithms which apparently are flawed. Good to know it probably is not a scale issue.
