New Zealand Timezone Weight Upload Issue from Index

I am in New Zealand and using Index Smart Scale and weigh myself in the mornings. However, when my weight uploads from the Index it shows in Garmin Connect and the app as relating to the day before. If I weigh myself after 1pm in the afternoon it uploads to the correct date. I have 2 watches and have re-set both of them and all settings are correct for my timezone (Auckland) except for daylight saving which is not accounted for.

There is a similar issue with my Forerunner 235 in that I have a Training Plan in my calendar which looks fine in Garmin Connect but in my watch the Training Calemdar has Sunday's long run under 'today' and my next relative day in my calendar is Wednesday 8 March 2017 with the Intervals I need to do on Tuesday, I am always missing a day?

Someone else who is in Australia has the same problem with their weights (see Timezone Funkiness post)
  • Hi
Following my previous post i have noticed that my weigh ins are now assigned to the right day per my timezone. This appears correctly now in GCM app on GC web reports, calendar and health stats

Hi. I recently bought the Index scale and having the same issue. Looks like it was fixed back in August his year going by the last post. Did recent updates caused the same problem again?

I’m in Sydney and it keeps syncing to the previous date.

Not only that, it only shows BMI and weight loss in the “weight” screen where it should show body fat and water percentages.
  • Yes. Something has recently changed for the worse:

    - Updates (WiFi syncing of data) used to be instant - now taking minutes/hours to show up in Garmin Connect
    - YES, additional data . (BMI, H20%, etc.) on ly showing form some weighings and not others, mostly missing.

All the other metrics (fat%,H2O%...) finally appeared after a few hours.

Hmm...must be a syncing issue? Since it takes time for it to sync the weigh-in on the correct date!
  • I don't have an Index scale, I've got a Withings that pushes data across to Garmin via Apple Health and Garmin Connect Mobile (iOS). I get the wrong date too. This is bloody ridiculous that in 2017 they don't realise the earth isn't flat, that timezones exist.

I've got the right timezone settings everywhere. What is the best thing to do to try to get this resolved properly?
