I have given up with the unreliable weights given by the index scale and returned to amazon for a refund. I really wanted this to work and am jealous of people on the forum who have found it to weigh accurately. This was my second scale the first one refused to register giving an invalid unit id. On contacting support they told me the serial number did not exist and that is why it wouldn't register. Replacement scale registered perfectly and synced with garmin connect, it would sometimes need a tap to wake it up as nothing would happen when I stood on it but otherwise worked out of the box. My weight was shown as being about 4 pounds heavier than my old scales which made me suspect something was adrift. The next morning I had lost 10 pounds so I reset the scales and this time I had gained 6 pounds, I then found that if I stood left foot first I was 12 pounds lighter than if I stood right foot first. I dug my old digital scales back out from the loft stood on them got my weight, stood left foot first, same weight, right foot first, same weight, jumped on them both feet, same weight. How hard can it be to make a pair of scales that work to a degree of accuracy that can be trusted, as they were I had know idea what my actual weight was.. As I said before I am returning them and going back to the old scales and updating my weight manually.
