The batteries in mine lasted one month with daily use. I have anither digital scale that has lasted 5 years on original batteries so I am a bit dismayed at the drain caused by, I assume by the wifi and/or BT. I will reserve judgement until the replacement batteries die since Garmin has a history of shipping with crappy batteries
Wow... i put in new high end batteries after one month of use and they only lasted 2 days. Never saw the scale come on other than when I was on it. I got to use it twice. This is going back
Put in 4 new batteries and they lasted 2 days. Lights on the scale are only on when I mount the device. Conclusion.. The scale is continuously polling wifi and thus draining the battery.., bad... Really bad!
I was wondering because I noticed with mine, which is on tile as well, with hard bumps on the floor near the scale it will turn on.
But, if the battery drain issue is something that's new, I would think it's not related to the flooring unless you moved it and that coincided with the problem.
