Vivofit waterproof/water resistant

Hi, first time post. Was given the vivofit today, not something I would have bought myself, but I'm loving it :p
My question is, can I use it in the pool for water areobics? I know it says water resistant 50m on box so is this model safe to use everyday in the pool?

But why would you want to? Water aerobics doesn't sound like it involves "steps", so the number it gives you, if any, will be completely bogus. If it came with an HR belt, that won't work in water. Might as well just not wear it.

Well at least you don't hae to remember to take it off. It will record activity even if they are a different type of steps - just the same as wearing it for any other activity really such as circuits gym work etc. Only snag is that the HRM probably won't work as the ANT signal won't pass through more than a couple of cm of water
