I just went for my 2nd swim with my new watch. The first activity was uploaded fine. This time when I clicked connect it simply listed the 1st swim but did not show my new one. Looking at history on the watch the new activity definitely exists. It seems to be finding the device fine but it simply does not see the new activity.
I posted this once for a similar problem with good success so I am copying the same post here:
First a disclaimer: I'm just on here to help with swim-specific problems, but I think this will work for you.
Likely ANT Agent pulled the activities, stored them locally, and then couldn't get them up on Garmin Connect (maybe GC was down or you didn't have an internet connection). So you need to manually upload the activities to GC. To do this: 1) Log in to GC and click the Upload button (top right). 2) Select Manual Upload from the bottom of the list. 3) Browse to where the .fit files from your activities are stored. * 4) Click Upload Activities From File.
* The files will start with the date of the activity yyyymmdd and will end with .fit. It depends on your OS where your activities get stored. I found this on the Support section of the Garmin website: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\GARMIN\Devices\Unit ID folder\Activities Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices \Unit ID folder\Activities Mac: ~User/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/Unit ID folder/Activities
Many thanks. I tried this but only the files from the original upload were there. I am a bit suspicious as I was asked to download the Garmin communicator the 2nd time I tried to upload. I don't know why I was asked to download this as it worked fine the first time round.
Just got it to work with the ANT Agent software rather than using the Upload button on the website. There is a tip on the website which says to use the ANT Agent software....why on earth doesn't it say this when you click on upload....it would have saved me a couple of hours.
