Step counter stops working after multisport (triathlon)

After I do a triathlon the step counter stops working. It is fine during the run. This has happened on numerous occasions. I have to restart the 935 to resolve. Seen the same post previously but no solution.

Can anyone help?

You found the only work around I know. It does not seem like an update will come to resolve this. For now you just need to remember to restart your device after a multisport event which is frustrating.
