want to change activity type for a copied activity

I do 4 kinds of skiing:

1. Rollerski

2. Classic ski on snow

3. Skate Ski on snow

4. Skimo( uphill skinning)

I liked the data screen layout for the default Garmin activity of "classic skiing" so I copied it 3 times and renamed each new instance according to my list of 4 types of skiing. However now in Connect( and therefore Strava and Training Peaks) all 4 activities look like "classic skiing" as the activity type. how do I change the activity type in Garmin for these activities? it appears I only changed the name of each. I do not want to manually create these 4 activities or modify the default data screens from Garmin for these activities because I find changing the data screens using the watch buttons incredibly confusing.

The Forerunner 935 only supports a limited set of activity profiles. Even if you copy an activity profile on the device and change the name, that won't change the activity type recorded in the FIT file. But you can go into Garmin Connect later and manually change the activity type. Just click on the activity type at the top and set whatever you want. You can also search on the Connect IQ store to see if there is a third-party app available for the activity types you want.

There's nothing confusing about changing the data screens.
