So I've had my RD Pod for as long as my Garmin 935 - about 4.5 years. Normally I'd be replacing the battery about once a year (2000+ km). Best accessory to my Garmin! I love stats!!
The last battery lasted about 10 months. Sure, fine. Popped in a new one (duracell, so good brand!) And it complained right away about low battery. Old one back in, and battery status shows 'ok' in the RD Pod accessory 'about' screen. The same old battery that had been bleating about being low for like 2 weeks and I just kept forgetting about it by the time my run was done...
Few weeks down the line, today I'm getting low battery warning again. Another new battery, still showing low on the new battery! Showed OK for about 2 minutes then low...
Yeah it's possible the batteries I bought are a bad batch, but before I go ordering new ones (can't get these in the local hardware store, they only stock the more common cr2032 ones...), could this be a bug in the RD Pod that's reporting battery levels incorrectly? Or higher chance that the batteries I bought (pack of 4, about 3 months ago, still in date per packaging) are just bad, all of them?
