Refurbished Forerunner 935 - Altimeter issue

Hello,

My 935 has stopped working the altimeter. Is measuring always 20000.

Garmin gave me a quotation for a refurbished 935 but after I questined if the problem is solved in the refurbished watch they only said that have 6 months warranty.

My question is if this is a defective component, due all the issues related to this sensor, they are installing newers altimeters sensors that give us a longer lifetime.

they also asked me for money to replace my 935 (faulty altimeter) with another one that was overhauled. I had already replaced a 935 for the same defect. given the model problem, garmin's behavior doesn't seem to me to be good.

Yea, mine fr935 is 4 years old and no problems with altimeter... To be honest, most of MEMS pressure sensor issues are caused just by dirt or any other obstacle in the hole where it is located. Maybe this is the reason why all garmin's instruction videos are like made for idiots, because most of users are.

so, in your opinion the Garmin technicians who check the watches and "pass" them defective, are they idiots?
