Garmin not syncing with Training Peaks workout calendar

Things have been working great for a long time.... but today Garmin is not syncing with my TP workout calendar. Anyone else having the problem? Garmin, did you do something?

As a last resort I just removed the connection between to two application and re-established them.... and the problem corrected itself.

This topic has been discussed several times already, e.g. here recently.

What I've done to overcome it was to connect it to Garmin Express on my laptop and sync it.
Looks like you've too many workouts on your device meanwhile and something prevented it from deleting older ones.
What sometimes work is to shift a training in TP and sync again. When you've shifted a workout you should see it in GCM web, your device should show needed updates and details show calendar entries.
