New running max hr recorded

Hi all,

Recently for the second time in few days at the end of the activity where I pushed but not really too much, I saw the screen "New running max hr recorded" at 186bpm on my 935. But actually in the activity summary on the watch and also in Connect, the peak heart rate was 166 and me too, I felt like being closer to 166 rather than 186. Few days before was the same at 185. Both the times I was using the hrm-tri strap. Considering in the activity the max was 166, I suppose there were no wrong data registration, so I'm figuring out if there is something that I didn't get or is just an error...

  • Just an error. It doesn’t happen often but a cheststrap sometimes produces spikes. Maybe it was a bit loose around your chest? That could happen on a bike when you’re bend over.

Garmin didn’t think about detecting obvious input errors in all places.
