Forerunner 935 excessive distance error

My activities are recording excessive distances recently. Normal 5k loupe displayed as 90k and a 6k trail route displayed as 300k. Have tried the normal resets, hard resets and reinstalls but it's still not working. Anyone got any ideas or is it the end of the road for the watch?

When you say "hard reset," are you referring to restoring to factory defaults as in "day one condition?" Or force shutting it down then turning on again.
