After update 20.00 I have no notification :-((( I reinstalled Garmin Connect on my mobile phone, I reseted watches settings, but still no notifications :-(
Is there any way to revert to the previous version?

  • After updating to the latest software Version 20.0.0.0, the watch is now unable to connect to anything.

It won’t connect to my iPhone, the Garmin HRM or Wattbike. The wrist heart rate monitor (which is turned on, but no light is coming from the back of watch) and step counter have also stopped working. The elevation gain issue was bad enough but now the watch is completely useless. I have tried all the reset options, as recommended by Garmin, without success.

THe Bluetooth, WHR, BLE/ANT/SNS are now 0 (zero)

I cannot express my disappointment after spending so much money on a watch and not being able to use it due to poor software updates. Is the software not checked for bugs and glitches prior to release?

935 Open Water issues (I realise there have been many posts...)

Has the issue affecting open water tracking/measuring been identified and when will a fix be applied? And...

    • No, I would rather not put my 935 under a swim cap
    • Yes, I have tried changing the data recording frequency
    • Yes, I have tried all 3 modes of satellite tracking
    • Yes, I have swam with 3 Garmin models (sad but true) and the two older models (910 & 920) recorded very similar distances, while the newer 935 under measured by about 10% (over 1500m).
  • Yes I saw the same behaviour. I swim on 550m route following the concrete deck .... version 2.50 was real great 550 or 556m, version 2.70 show me 500m or less so a little shorter

Since last Saturday I´m having exactly the same issues with my FR 935:
No green lights for the wrist hr. No steps count. No pairing to phone and other Garmin accessories.

    All reset options done.

Though, version 20.0.0.0 has been running for weeks now.

    Coincidence?

  • Definitely not, whatever Garmin did to the latest iteration of the FR935 has caused significant issues to the hardware and rendered it inoperable. Here's hoping they fix it soon.

  • Hello, I am from Colombia and I have same issue with my watch, after install latest version which is 20.00, the watch can not be connect to anything at all, the wrist HR is not working anymore despite is set in "AUTO", the step counter does not count any step at all, I try to connect the watch to my phone and always shows "PAIRING FAILED", and when I connect the watch to Garmin Express it shows again that V20.00 is available to install and again. Hope Garmin can fix this soon, since I have noticed that is happening to all 935 owners.

    Hi guys.

My Gf's FR935 got the same issue several days ago after an auto-update to 20.00. All the sensors and Bluetooth stopped working.

I was able to resolve it with Garmin WebUpdater. It detects the device and finds out the available update of the Sensor hub. Once finished, unplug the device and agree to install an update. After it, sensors start work immediately.

But what happened then? Being paired with the phone again seems that the next day Garmin Connect on the phone has detected this sensor hub update again, applied it, and failed again. With the WebUpdater I fixed it the second time, but now I guess all the auto-updates should be switched off. At least, until some official fix of the issue.

  • Didn’t know about this web updated, my WiFi and gps are not working, gonna try later today

  • Thanks, this fix got the sensors working again but still unable to connect to the phone, but that is not an issue. Thanks again for the recommendation.
