I see the accuracy with latest 19.10 update about the same than last summer (whatever the version was then). I have swam several sessions by now in this summer and I have noticed only one really curious…
v20 on my 935 and open water tracking is recording time ok but distance is consistently 20-30% down on actual. I usually have a brief stop at a couple of points and I hold the watch out of the water but…
What are your activity settings? I have GPS+Galileo and it is....
Hello,
I have now also noticed a few times that the GPS drifts very strongly as you can see in the screenshot. Start and end of the training was at the same place, and I never left the lake. Three or four times I stopped at the edge and stopped the clock. The clock was always above water at these times. Before training I turned the clock off and on and connected it with Garmin connect. Also selected a interval workout with 6 times 4 minutes and 1:30 minutes of active resting.
This was now the third activity this happens. But there were also good ones in between.
Seems a good Track. I'm still waiting for wind to cease .... two weeks of bad weather since allowed sea swim .... :)
dear, i have a similar issue on a Fenix 5 plus, see the image, the funny thing is that a colleague with a Fenix 5 non-plus get a straight line in open water activity in same conditions while me it totally different with a zig zag line. Which could be the problem?
.
I have done 5 open water swims since upgrading to firmware 19.10 and all have reasonably accurate tracks. For me the GPS + GLONASS setting seems to work best. Be sure to let it get a stable position fix on the surface first before you press the Start button the third time to actually begin the activity.
