My 935 has frozen numerous times when out for a run. It freezes on the same screen on my rotating data screens. I reset it and carry on. But what would the issue be? As one day I will loose the whole runs data. Cheers

Moving post to the Forerunner 935 forum for better visibility.
I have this same problem, too. At first, it was freezing when it was really hot outside, 80+ degrees. My work-around then was to wear the face on the inside of my wrist to avoid direct sunlight and heat. That seemed to help, but most recently, it is freezing on walks, and the temperature is in the 40-70 range, so not terribly hot. I can't imagine direct sunlight being a problem, as it has yet to give me issues during a running workout in the same 40-70 degree temperature range. I also wear it on bike rides and indoor pool lap swimming, and neither of these workouts have ever froze on me; just the running (in the summer) and walking (in the fall). And for additional clarification, the walking workout is not a pre-programmed workout. I simply just select WALK and then hit START. On all the others I do a pre-programmed workout that either I made up or that came with the watch.
Are you following a navigation course and using external sensors like a HRM or foot pod? I think the 935 has very limited hardware resources and it seems like it just gets overloaded with trying to do too much. Maybe memory fragmentation or something? I found it worked more reliably if I rebooted it occasionally.
Not using a navigation course. When it froze during my runs, I was not using any external sensors. When I walk, I use the foot pod. Maybe that's the culprit? I forgot to mention that I was noticing the freezing more consistently around the <50% charge range, so I got in the habit of rebooting the watch when it got below 50% charge. That seemed to help reduce the frequency. I usually recharge the watch when it gets down to 20%-30%. However, more recently, it froze on me, during a walk, when it was above 50% charge remaining. I think it was around 80% charge at that time; so much for the charge being a factor. I will keep an eye on it some more, and maybe you're on to something, with the foot pod being the antagonist for me. Thank you!
Have you tried to delete old activities to free up memory or maybe a reset might help

please read the whole thread above.
There is always some risk when doing these things and you will have to input all settings again.
I don't know that it's the foot pod specifically which causes failures. My guess is that the 935 just gets overloaded if you throw too much at it. So it might be fine with just a foot pod, but if you also try to follow a navigation course and run a structured workout at the same time then maybe it's too much?
I never use a navigation course. When I walk, I use the foot pod, no pre-defined workout, just select WALK and go. Frequency with freezing: 1-2 times per month, charge has been both below and above 50% remaining, in the summer and fall (no occurrences in the Spring). When I run, I don't use a foot pod, I use a pre-defined RUN workout with ranges that give me regular alerts throughout the workout. Frequency with freezing: 1-2 times per month, in the summer, when charge is below 50% (no occurrences in Spring, Winter, Fall). When I ride a bike, no additional accessories, no pre-defined workout, just BIKE and go. Frequency with freezing: never. When I swim, no additional accessories, no pre-defined workout, just POOL SWIM and go. Frequency with freezing: never. When I hike, no additional accessories, no pre-defined workout, just HIKE and go. When I use the elliptical, no additional accessories, no pre-defined workout, just ELLIPTICAL and go. And finally, when I sign up for a running race, I will wear the foot pod, I will have use a pre-defined workout that has alerts set for me to maintain my pace, the charge is usually full or nearly full, the weather is usually between 20 degrees and 80 degrees, but the watch has never frozen on me during a running race. I hope this helps!
