735xt incompatible to Garmin Connect Workouts??

I tried to download a simple Interval Workout from Garmin Connect to my 735XT and system rejected as incompatible!!

It is unacceptable and hope that Garmin will come up very soon with a firmware solving this for a relatively new watch like 735XT.

This is my 2nd garmin and unless this issue is fixed soon there will not be any 3rd

The FR735XT is compatible with Run, Bike, Swim and Custom workouts. I am not sure about Cardio, but Strength, Yoga and Pilates are not compatible with the FR735XT.

The 735XT was released 4 years ago, which makes it a relatively old watch in Garmin's ecosystem. It's unrealistic to expect significant firmware updates for this device, especially since the hardware can only support Connect IQ version 2.0

I had a forerunner 410 that suddenly stopped tracing sats.

Then, 1,5 year ago bought the 735.

What i am talking about is that although in the workout screen of the watch indicates clearly (translated from other language) Upload Workouts from Garmin Connect. And this is what i can't.

It is not difficult to support their origonal sporting watch,

that would be very nice! can you please confirm that you have made a workout in Garmin Connect and download it otthe 735? I have prepared a short workout for jump rope (Hiit with 12 reps 3mins with 1 min rest) but when i try to download it to the watch, BOTH from android AND direct USB cable, it clearly indicates that it is Incompatible.

Of course, i can make it directly in the watch as Interval Workout under eg Treadmil running. For me it is the same. Nevertheless, a 4 registers download workout from Garmin connect to 735 should be possible without any discussion.

If you managed to download a workout to 735 from Garmin connect, i would really appreciate your help

I confirm. I can create Run, Bike or Custom workouts, and all of them transfer to my watch without issues.

I have prepared a short workout for jump rope

What type of workout did you select?

I go to Training tab on the left and choose Workout Tab. then i create a simple workout under Cardio. Then if you try to download to 735 it indicates"incompatible".Should i try under "custom"?

I never tried "Cardio". It's possible that it's not compatible with the FR735XT. Try "Custom".

It did downloaded custom to watch. I appreciate your help. Thank you very much. this is enough for me for now.
