Best way to log track distances?

Just bought my first Garmin, the FR935. I’m training for some specific events, but this questions relates to my 3.2km(2mi) run...

I train on a 400m Olympic track, as the event is also on the track. The sessions I’m currently doing are specific to this race, 4 x 1600m(1mi) sprints with 2min rest between each run.

I want to avoid using GPS for these sprints to avoid any error in distance, and to save battery.

I want to be able to cross the line at the 1600m mark, Press a button and have the watch start my two minute test period so when the timer goes off at the end of the two minutes, I commence my next effort.

On a side note... Is there also an option to have my watch show total calories burnt for the day? I’d like to see it on my watch if I don’t have my phone with me.

Thanks!
