I want to receive only text messages on my Forerunner 935, is it possible?

I couldn't find any option to configure the notifications to receive only text messages, wondering if it is possible to do it.

    Don't know what it would be on your device, but on my phone (Android 9.0, LineageOS) it is Settings -> Smart notifications -> (All Applications) -> Messaging. That's what the system text messaging (SMS) app is called on my device. Then disallow all the other apps except that one.

    Thanks for reply! I have an iPhone and under settings there is no such option!

    Anyone know how to do it on an iPhone please?

    Are you referring to your settings on your iPhone? Twinaxx is referring to your Garmin Connect Mobile app. Go into settings > Smart Notifications and turn off everything except for your messaging app that you're using on your phone.  iMessage?

    But I don't have Smart Notifications under Settings in my Garmin Connect app! I'm running iOS 12.4.1, does that make any difference?

    I found the following article on Garmin Support, but their suggestion doesn't make sens, if I follow this article, I will receive all notifications from all apps which have Notification Center to ON

    I think you and Twinaxx's suggestion makes a lot of sens and it's the answer of my question, except that as I mentioned, I don't have Smart Notifications anywhere in my Connect app!
