Garmin HRM-Swim Heart Rate Monitor Strap breaks down

After about 50 times of use, the strap breaks down at the attachment.

Can it be repaired? Does it go under warranty?

The irony is that the black section of the strap looks to be the same material as the HRM-Tri which they don't recommend for use in the pool. I had the same failure 2.5 yrs in (receipt held) no replacement…

If it's still withing the warranty period, then I'd contact Garmin Support. They usually offer a free replacement in such cases.

Happened to me. Garmin replaced it.

Thanks for replying. Warranty is another 5 months, I will deal with it.

What happens if its not under warrant period but strep breaks down?

I'd still contact Garmin support. Perhaps they'll offer you a discounted replacement.

I had the same failure 2.5 yrs in (receipt held) no replacement was offered. I guess the best thing to do is call as soon as it starts to fail not once it completely fails. Might be pulling out the sowing machine - surely someone has come up with a simple fix for this!
