The altimeter in my Forerunner 935 suddenly stopped working.

The altimeter in my Forerunner 935 suddenly stopped working. The elevation got stuck in one position and didn't change since (about one week ago). The total ascent in all activities is "zero". I restarted the watch a couple of times with no effect. I think that the issue started after the latest update to 13.30. My friend from the triathlon club has the same issue. Anyone else with this problem? I already contacted the support, and I am waiting for the response. I want to find out if there is more of us.

NO, no credit where it's due Tim - it's a known issue - instead of sorting out the problem which is a sensor that is poorly designed or not fit for the job, they've been hard at work releasing a new watch…

My altimeter test showed it was working but floors kept adding up without climbing. Garmin replaced the watch and everything is good now. i really love the 935.

Same problem for me. I’ve tried calibrating the altimeter and soaking it in warm soapy water. No luck. I emailed support. They sent me link to basic troubleshooting which is just calibrate and the warm soapy water. I replied that I had no luck with this issues. Waiting to hear back

Same problem. I've had no elevation for about a week or two. I'm not sure, but think I just updated the watch to 14.10. Does anyone know exactly where the sensors are located on the watch so I can "clean" them?

Credit where it's due.......Garmin Support were really good. Sent me instructions to put the watch in test mode, sent them the result, they then confirmed they'd replace the watch for me. Sent mine back and got a new one a week later.

Definitely worth emailing support.....
