Barcode Wallet: a massive favour to ask.

Hey y'all!

I switched from my beloved 935 to a 945 recently and didn't realize the Barcode Wallet wasn't yet ported over.

Could a 935 user with the app do me (and other 945 users) a solid and upload the Barcode Wallet .PRG file so we can side-load it?

    What the5krunner didn’t mention is that Garmin Connect app settings are not available for sideloaded apps. So I don’t think the PRG would be much help to you for that app :(.

    NUTS. Yeah, I see what you mean... there'd be no way to enter the barcodes in the device. #sadface indeed. This was a widget that legit made my life easier - no fumbling with a photo app when all I want to do is scan a keytag.

    For next time, if you make a backup copy of your entire /GARMIN/APPS folder (and sub folders), you’ll get both apps and settings. Might help for the next upgrade or if you have to swap a broken device. 

    Or if you have a buddy IRL with a supported device and the barcodes aren’t too sensitive they could do it for you. 

    Hopefully the app gets ported soon.

    Have you tried "Contact Developer" for the app in the store and asked about the 945?

    In some cases, all I had to do with mine is check a box and upload to the store.  In others, it took a little work, but porting to the 245 and 945 are the same (the fonts are the same, but also different than the 935)

    It was kind of bad advice overall, in that the fonts on the 935 and 945 are different and talking a 935 build and running on the 945 could look kind of bad.  It's clear the5krunner only tried an app or two.

    Yeah, I've attempted to reach out to the dev - no response yet. I'm hoping it's on their radar - Barcode Wallet makes/made my life easier.
