FR 935 better than FR910XT for tracking open water swimming

Hi there,
I am wondering, if I should replace my FR 910 XT (and FR645 music) by the FR935. One important reason could be, that tracking open water swim works better with the 935 than with the 910.
Are there any experiences regarding this?
Thx, M
  • triMiguel I had 920xt and then 935 and saw little or no difference between them - however I did love the overall size, weight and slim profile of the 935 (I prefer to the Fenix 5+ that I have now). For overall GPS accuracy I have found the more recent devices less acxcurate than my old 610 - but they are still plenty accurate enough for the purpose (except for some of the firmware releases - there was a period where the 935 gave terrible swim GPS accuracy - but I belive that is fixed now).
  • Can't think that far back to the 910, but the 935 works well in open water now.
  • 935 dosn't work well in the OWS at all and is underestimating the distance (therefore the pace is wrong) by 20-35%. It's a bad treatment of the customers. If you want a good OWS watch with OHR that works well in the OWS mode buy a Suunto 9 Baro, Polar V2, Coros Pace 2. Garmin seemed to dropped the ball on us and doesn't care if we like what we bought from them or not.
