Bubbles on the OHR, part of manufacturing or defect?

Hi Guys,

I bought a 935 when it came out, and loved it, then I sold it to buy the new Vantage V because newer is better, right? lol...Wrong. I returned the Vantage, and bought another 935. On the bottom of the ohr, I noticed bubbles, that I didn't remember on my original 935. The heart rate seems fine, I called Garmin and they said yeah, it's normal. I just want a second opinion.

Thanks,

Chris,

  • Hi Tudor,

Thanks, you've put my mind at ease. I did search the forums, but couldn't find an answer.

Another 935 with bubbles (and lots of scratches) here. ;-)

@Vantage: Those watches really are a big letdown (the V more so than the M), I also got one (even pre-ordered), and now it collects dust. Since May I've only been dipping my toes into Garmin waters after 20+ years with Polar because I grew tired of rectangular watches. Of course I was really looking forward to going back to Polar when they announced the new Vantages because Flow is simply the better ecosystem for athletes. Alas, those watches are so far behind V800, and even M430 in functionality it's not even funny. So yeah, since my yearly TP sub is still running anyway, meaning I don't have to put up with GCM, I am back to my trusted 935.
  • No worries Chris ;-). Just keep an eye on yours - watch how you you handle once removing it from your wrist - i've seen several others with the resin cracked and my guess is that it happened due to misuse; just be gentle and it will serve you well :D. PS: i also have a 920 lying around and it looks like new after 3 years of usage and several marathons, triathlons and daily wear.
