GPS never turned green on todays run? 11.00

Today I waited 4-5 minutes for the GPS to say ok but it never turned green. I ran anyways and the log looks ok. Anyone else?
  • Graphical bug. I've had it happened from time to time. I've found that when it hangs up like that I just back out of the run and exercise menu altogether and go back in. GPS will then just "POP" and find a signal.
  • Anything quirky like this and I just reboot the watch. Seems to fix most minor grumbles.

I have very same feelings that 11. 00 release has regression here, last few days my GPS needs much more time to catch the GPS fix on bike.
Usually I enabled GPS in garage and few meters outside it was fixed. Now I need more or less 500m on bike what is more then minute. Also my starting points are often misplaced on tracking maps.

    Garmin pls fix this ;-)
  • not sure if firmware 11 is the culprit. i assume it would be gps firmware 2.30 instead !
  • Worked fine since this happened, so I guess it was a freak thing.

The next time this happens, go into the watches "settings" and then to "about". Check to see if if EPO is current or expired. This file is good for about a week and once expired, GPS seems to take forever to get a fix. Some have stated that they are having trouble updating the EPO file through Connect. I connect with Wi-Fi and have no problems updating the file.

I will check this too, anyway I rebooted watch as it was wrote here, and still I see some regression, It takes now few minutes sometime to have a fix. On previous sw's and even on 235 or 735 models it was few seconds. I am using this watch in this same way all the time and see that around 500m (sometimes more) is not recorded as it was in the past..
  • Seen this on occasion too. Power off/on sorted it out.
