Sunrise and sunset times are plain wrong

Hello,

I recently noticed that my sunrise and sunset times have gone haywire.

Currently, my watch is displaying a sunrise time of 8:25 PM and a sunset time of 11:58 AM. I am located in the PST time zone.

Things I've tried:

1. Hold UP button when watch face is visible -> Clock -> Sync with GPS
2. Record an outdoor biking activity

Neither of the above worked.

The time and date are both displaying correctly. So is elevation. Steps are being counted.

How do I fix the sunrise and sunset times? I really like using the feature.

Thanks!

EDIT: Actually, the Garmin Sunrise/Sunset widget is displaying the correct time. it's the GearMin watch face that's displaying incorrect data: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/a58303e8-b0a8-4387-ba1c-519a648d3b70
  • it really stinks at this still does not work. as a drone pilot federal regulations of when you can fly are based specifically on sunrise and sunset.  can I open the widget and look at it sure, but it should work on the clock face without any issues and it does not.

Your drone flying isn't dependent on your watch face and is far from over.  You can get that information just like the thousands of other drone pilots who don't use a watch face for that data.

  • The point was that sunrise and sunset is in fact data that is depended on. no my drone flying is not dependent upon my watch face.

to fix this problem on the Garmin watch face, you simply have to open up your GPS settings and  exit back out.  Now the correct sunrise and sunset will display on the clock face.

it does not matter why somebody wants the data to show on their clock face, if it just makes them feel good, that is fine with me.   I did want to share and let people know what they need to do in order for it to display correctly.

    Happy New year!

Agreed. It's very important and I use it for several different reasons.

no my drone flying is not dependent upon my watch face.

Because you brought up federal regulations about drone flying times implies that this is a hindrance for you otherwise the comment is irrelevant. This was the reason for my response.
