This is a minor annoyance that started happening around the time 9.1 came out: when I connect my 935 to my PC to charge up, the watch face changes when I disconnect the USB cable. Instead of going back to the watch face I selected in settings, it changes to another watch face I have installed (not one of the built-in faces). Not a big deal, but I just wanted to let Garmin know.
I see this too - is your watch connected to Garmin Express during charging? I intend to raise a support ticket as Garmin probably won't read this thread.
Same problem here along with it adding in widgets I have taken off. So after a computer charge I have to - change the watch face back to the one chosen before charging (IQ) - remove widgets I had removed before - rearrange order to what was before
Its as though Garmin Express is overwriting the settings on the watch
My 920XT did this in all the time I owned it (bought it 2015) so I'm not surprised to see it happening on the 935, and wouldn't expect to see if fixed any time soon,
Can't remember any posts about this in the 920 thread - I am old so likely forgot. Were there any? Would you post a link? Was the problem reported to Garmin?
No idea if anything's been posted about it before, only started using this forum since buying my 935. Didn't report it to Garmin as it was a minor annoyance more than anything, took 15 seconds to fix and didn't stop anything from working.
You need to contact Garmin support to be certain they are aware of the issue.
They're aware. This happened to me after the 8.99 beta. Anytime I sync with Express any IQ widget or app I have installed is reordered alphabetically after native widgets/apps. It also started downloading a couple of widgets I tried and deleted months ago. Express or GCM won't correct it. I have to manually reorder them again on the watch. I sent Garmin a copy of my Garmin folder weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet.
