Bike to Pool, Swim, Bike Home -How to Save on Watch

Hi there,

1st post :)

I just got a 935 and I am wondering how to do the following in order:
  • Start a biking activity (bike commute begins to the pool)
  • Pause the biking activity (arrive at the pool)
  • Start the pool swim
  • Stop the pool swim and save
  • Resume bike activity and save when I get home.
I selected "resume later" once I biked to the pool but I wasn't able figure out how to start a pool swim without fully stopping/saving the bike ride. Basically I want to record my bike commute to the pool and back home as 1 single activity (1 loop) with the pool swim.

Is this possible?

Thanks
  • I don't think this is possible, but you could record your bike-swim-bike as a one multisport activity.

One way to do this is to use a Hot Key. By default the down button (bottom left) is a Hot Key to change the activity type. The best way to track an activity like this is to:
    • Start a cycling activity and ride to the pool
    • Pause activity
    • Press and hold the Down button
    • Select Pool Swim (select Pool size)
    • Press start and complete your swim
    • Pause activity
    • Press and hold Down button
    • Select Bike
    • Press start and ride home
    • Press Stop and save
This will create a multi-sport activity with your bike-swim-bike.

Another option would be to create a custom Multi-sport activity profile where the activities are bike-swim-bike. More information about this can be found in this manual link.
  • Even this will not combine the two bike sessions into one. You will end up with two bike activities and one swim. You’d need a 3rd party app to combine the two bike sections.

    Fitfiletools online will do this
