What he means is that the straps fit the onto the Forerunner 935, but they are named ``QuickFit`` not ``QuickRelease``

Yes you can use the 22mm QuickFit straps of the Forerunner 935.

Once you remove the original post from the watch, there's nothing for the pins to connect into on the watch with the quick release bands.

There's a difference between the two. The quick fit bands attach to a post, where the quick release bands replace the post and have small retractable pins on either side. The problem with the quick release bands is the pins have no where to lock into.

I think he just took your response incorrectly. Your response wasn't an objection, it was just a matter-of-fact response.

I can see though why they might have been confused (the terminology) if taken at face value.

Just to confirm what others have said, the Garmin QuickFit 22mm bands (released with the fenix 5) are compatible with the Forerunner 935.

Quick release bands like the ones used on the Forerunner 645 and vivoactive 3 are not compatible. The Amazon link posted by Liquidblades in post #6 is an example of quick release bands that are not compatible.
