Forerunner wrist strap

I'm think about about buying the Forerunner 935, but want to know if people have had problems with the wrist strap. I gave up on Fitbit (a number of them) as their straps persih and fail very quickly, replacing it with a TomTom Spark 3. In 12 months I've had two straps perish and a promise by TomTom to replace the second strap has not been honoured. So my question, is the strap of the 935 durable or will I need to replace it within 24 months of purchase? Thanks in advance.
I'd say $30 for a silicone strap is pretty steep. However, if just the band loop breaks, generic replacements of the loop are less than 1 USD on ebay (although as mentioned, they won't have the pointy protrusion that fits into the band holes to hold the loop in place).
The aftermarket $4 straps I have from good365 on eBay all have the protrusion on the loop. YMMV.
I generally find Garmin quite good at replacement within warranty - the issue I do have is as it says somewhere above $30 is rather steep for a genuine replacement - I realise these are expensive watches but I'm sure Garmin could charge half that amount for a replacement strap and still make a massive margin
just noticed this nick on my strap, worn 24x7 since the watch came out, apart from swopping for a leather strap for work and going out at nights.
Hopefully will get replaced under guarantee!
I did get a similar cut or crack on my quickfit-strap (F5, not 935) after 7 months. But it is at the hole, where the clasp goes, so tention at this point is high. But since this is an area of the strap that may be sensitive to damage, I couldn't figure out if it actually was a cut (me damaging the strap) or if it was failure in the material.
I bought a new strap, that is now four months old, and while it still holds strong, the pattern on the underside of my wrist starts to get rubbed off, just as can be seen on your strap.
If the silicone strap cracks within a year I see a greater problem with the activity straps, like the Vivosport (that I also have) where the thinner strap is integrated with the sensor unit and can not be replaced, as it seems...
