Vo2 max is not displaying

Hi Guys, just bought my FR935 last Sunday and have been exercising with it for a week now. Thing is somehow the vo2 max is not giving me any reading though I have been running outdoor with GPS and HR on for more than 10 minutes with easily more than 70% max HR for a few times already. Is there something wrong with my unit or are there anything that I should do more. Training load is already giving me the readr only the vo2 max. Thanks for the help guys...
  • VO2Max only comes from the Running app, not the Trail Running app.
  • I just did a walk with my dog for ± 1km and got my first VO2 max. (first activity)
It was not a constant tempo. Very surprised it was that quick.

Yes, I am using the running app with GPS and HR on... No HRM straps though, does it require a strap to get the reading?

If I didn't do outdoor running as the first activity, will it affect the result?

  • Nope!! What do you see in Garmin Connect either mobile app or the web page??

Am using garmin connect for Android and on the vo2 max screen it says no data available (obviously) but on the training status, training load gives a number of 1,015 for the week load

Oh, and the watch says to run twice to know the training status and to run 10:00 for the vo2 max (still)
  • Need to do a section without too much up and down, fairly flat, for vo2 to register- I think?

Hmm, some ideas! What is your max HR set at?

Do you have link(s) to your runs on Garmin Connect? 1,015 training load is huge!! I got into the 600s doing 10-14 hours a week, how much running are you doing!!

My max HR is set at 180, and I do link the runs to garmin connect. As for the training load, that's what they gave me, I did combined runs with my gym workouts and I may have set some of the weight or reps wrongly I guess since it's my first garmin device. Today my training load figure shows 841 for last 7 days. Is the figure supposed to move everyday? Or does it still calibrating as this is the first week after all.
