Garmin 935 Notifications

I'm running the latest version of the software (7.60 I believe). I'm not sure if this started happening before the update or after.

Originally, I used to get notifications for two things - Phone calls and SMS messages. I found both of these convenient to receive on the device. Lately, however, I seem to be getting emails, calls, SMS, weather, and basically any kind of notification that my phone kicks out. I can see that in Garmin Connect on my phone, there are only two options "Calls Only" and "All Notifications". When I select "Calls Only", I don't get notifications of SMS messages, which I need. How do I get just calls / SMS??

First thing, you are in the wrong area of the settings for handling which Smart Notifications you receive. You are in your Device Settings/Notifications which controls how notifications are handled whether during an activity or not during an activity but that does not control which notifications you get on your watch in general. From the main menu in GCM (not on your watch) you need to go to Settings and then Smart Notifications. You should now see ALL of the apps on your phone listed and they are probably all turned on. Easiest way to handle this is to toggle them all off and then select the ones you want to receive to turn them on.

This was the result of a recent update to GC mobile that changed the way smart notifications are handled so now you have to turn them off instead of adding them individually.

I have a weird issue with notifications. I used to be able to scroll them and clear one by one but since yesterday after I got a message that the watch updated to the latest soft version, I'm stuck with 4 notifications that I cannot clear. Whenever I get to the notifications screen, I see an "!" in red on top of the watch and the 4 notifications below. I can push the button and see every one of them but if I push the down button (that used to clear the respective notifications, nothing happens.
What can I do?
