Garmin 935 FW 7.60 and Index Smart Scale

Hi All,
exactly after installing the latest firmware update 7.60, every activity uploaded from 935 device to Garmin Connect automatically removes all scale data, except weight and BMI. Do you have the same issue?
  • No change after upgrade to 8.0 for me as well.
    Garmin please fix it.

    Hi Everyone,

    We apologize for the frustration with your weigh-ins over the last few weeks. We’ve pushed some backend Garmin Connect changes overnight that should resolve your Index weight measurements from being replaced by weight data uploaded via MyFitnessPal and other Garmin wearables. We have a few other planned improvements to ensure you can easily access the data captured by your Index Smart Scale that will be made soon.

    Please let us know if you continue to see issues with your weigh-ins.

  • Oh, interesting! I thought I wouldn't have anything to report since I worked out early today and haven't weighed in yet. But it looks like yesterday's weigh-in survived this morning's bike activity upload, so that's a good sign! Also, the email sent out mentioned something additional: apparently the historical body composition data that keeps getting erased DOES still exist in the backend database, at least in some part, and my email mentioned efforts to restore that, in addition to fixing the root cause going forward. It looks like some of my previous weigh-ins are back, but it's a bit early to say - the last 5 days or something seem to be there, but a bunch of others don't. And I have quite a few new weights (changed from the previous day's value, i.e. I definitely weighed in that day) missing composition data, so if any old data has been restored, it's still not all of it.

    But anyway, next couple days, check that your new weigh-ins are sticking, and periodically check to see if historical weigh-ins have reappeared in full.

    We are working aggressively to restore the historical weigh-in data, and expect that over the coming days more and more of the weight data will display in Garmin Connect.
  • I'm seeing two days of full data now so the fix looks good, thanks very much, appreciated it.
  • Since last Wednesday (21.02) it seems to be fixed. But historical data is still not available.

    Brychu Garmin Connect team is still working to restore historical data.

    Going to go ahead and close this thread since fixes that were pushed out resolves the issue. If you are experiencing an issue with weight data disappearing after sync an activity or when after connecting to MyFitnessPal, please open a new thread for discussion.
