Any possibility that the 935 will have a future update that allows it to store music?

I recently purchased the 935 i believe i can still return it, the one big missing item for me is music capabilities without needing a phone, now that i saw the 645 will have music i am thinking of going with that one.

Forerunner 935 does not have the ability to be updated to support music directly from the watch.

That's like asking if the 935 will have a touch screen in the future. If the hardware support wasn't built in from the start it simply cannot be done.

According to DCR the hardware doesn't support the Bluetooth music protocol, and there isn't enough storage. The Fenix 5X has enough storage but still lacks the Bluetooth music hardware.

I'm holding out for the Fenix 6/7 that will support power meters, have music, Garmin pay and maybe some other stuff that doesn't quite work as intended at launch ;)

Seems like the next series will be music enabled...so maybe early 2019? Can't see how they can retrofit this into the 935.

Personally I don't much care since I always run with my phone for safety. I'd just be happy if I could find a good pair of over ear BT headphones that could survive heavy sweat from long runs.
