I recently got a 935, though I am not a runner and mostly will be using it for hiking, I got it for the lightweight and wifi.
I took it for a hike today. I had a screen with timer, elapsed time, moving time and stopped times just to understand how they work. All of a sudden, it recorded a lap I guess and those fields reset and started counting from that time with a '1' showing next to them possibly indicating it's a lap. I have auto lap set to off. While I am pretty sure I did not accidentally press the 'back' button which I assume would record a new lap [?], I am willing to give it the benefit of doubt and assume I pressed it by mistake. If so, would that change the screen like that?
Even if I did that, why would the timer, elapsed time and moving time fields act as a 'lap time'? At that point, there is no field I can select that will show me how long I have been hiking or how long is the total moving time from the beginning of the hike. Clearly I am not understanding something here.
Or is this a feature that is different from fenix 5 series?
I have autostop enabled with 1.00 miles/hr as the custom setting. Does autostop sometimes trigger a lap?
I have attached pics....
After syncing with garmin connect, there it shows the elapsed time ok as a total of the moving and stopped times.
Thank you for any tips...
