Location of custom workouts once downloaded

Hi all
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I don't have time to look through 86 pages...:o)
I'm trying to create custom workouts for use in the gym on a treadmill and gym bike and have been able to do so without problems. However, when i download it to my 935, where will this workout appear? I realise that you need to access the workouts via their individual sports but the custom one doesn't seem to be assigned to any particular sport and so doesn't appear under Indoor Brick, Gym Bike, Treadmill etc. Accessing either the My Workouts or Training Calendar via anything that isn't Bike or Run results in the usual "Download your workouts from Garmin Connect" message...
Thanks for any help with locating this mysterious custom workout location.
Rupert
  • Sorry I don't have time to look either but I wonder if they might be in the WORKOUTS folder?

    Just possible :)
  • Or, on the watch, select the relevant activity profile, access the settings, then look in Training, My Workouts

Hi guys, thanks for your help
I can see the workouts, edit, delete them etc fine in the Garmin Connect iPad app and the web site and add them to the training calendar, but they just don't seem to be evident on the watch itself once I have synced it.
"Or, on the watch, select the relevant activity profile, access the settings, then look in Training, My Workouts" - the problem is what is the "relevant activity profile" for a custom workout? I can see the Run-based ones under the run activity, the bike-based ones under the bike activity but no other activities have workouts assigned to them...
    Thanks again
  • Ah see what you mean with the Custom ones. Not sure how they are supposed to work in terms of using on the watch as I can't see how you select a sport.

What are you actually wanting to do? Some sort of multi sport workout?

Correct, Tim. At the moment, I can create an "Indoor Brick" activity that allows me to use a bike and treadmill one after the other but as a single activity, with a "transition" between the two of them, so I don't have to stop and start each one individually. But I would like to create a workout, using the usual steps and repeats, so that I can exercise at certain defined intensities on each piece of equipment. As mentioned, i can create these workouts on Garmin Connect but, after synching, i can't find where to start them on the watch. The symbol for the custom workout (figure of a person doing a star jump) matches that on my watch activity but the workout doesn't appear at Training>My Workouts or Training>Training Calendar, or for this area on any other activity that I check, so I'm wondering where it goes...
  • Same issue here. Did you find out where to find them?

The answer is on the workout symbol in the Garmin Connect App, under Workouts tab.

You see different symbols for each workout type, and in your watch you should look for that same icon or symbol.

Hey Mauro. I see the icon on my app is the same as the icon for "other" activity. but when I go in other activities I can only create new activities.

If you go to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/workouts and try to create a new workout, I don't see any "other" activity kind over there.,. neither in my watch
