strange things are happening or why the *** does time lag behind

not 100% sure if it happened with the update to 6.0 but i recently noticed that after every activity with activated GPS the clock-time lags exactly 5 minutes behind after ending the activity. No matter if time settings are set to manual or GPS-triggered - anybody experienced this strange behaviour lately?

  • Set the time to GPS (definitely not manual), reboot the watch and then get a GPS lock. See if that helps.
  • Thanx chunkywizard....can't tell how many times i've done a reboot (but no switching of the time-settings) since i first noticed this "problem" with no effect at all. Nevertheless i'll try your suggestion and if this also leeds to the time-gap i'll switch back to 5.40 and see what happens.
  • If that doesn?t work then press and hold the light button until the screen goes blank. Then try again.
  • Try a hard reset (hold down power button for 15 secs) as that will clear the GPS cache. Go outside to regain a GPS fix and the correct time again.

Settings, System, Time, Set Time really should be on Auto though.

My only other thought is that your Time Zone map file is somehow wrong. Connect the watch to GE and make sure there are not any updates still to install.

I fail to see what reverting to a previous firmware would achieve short of a master reset which may well "fix" it but more due to the reset than the firmware. So if none of above works, a master reset may then be the next thing to try.
  • Thanks to both of you. A master reset did the fix - just as suggested. My 935 now is a time-keeper again :-)
