Road ID for F935

This is still being worked out with RoadID. So, more details to come. Just a heads-up...

If you are considering purchasing a custom RoadID for your F935 (https://www.roadid.com/c/FitnessTrackerIDs), it appears that you want to order the Fenix 5 style for a QuickFit 22 band and then order the F935 if you do NOT use QuickFit. The F935 product they have doesn't fit on the QuickFit 22 correctly.

I'll post again when RoadID figures it out.

didn't even think of this. I have the road ID for the FR935 and it fits great. I was thinking of trying out some of the quick fit bands and I didn't even consider that the road ID wouldn't fit. Is it the taper on the sides? Are the quick fit bands thicker?

Hello Browner40, Can you please share with me where did you buy your ROAD id for FR935? I tried looking in ROAD ID websitw but couldn't find the exact FR935 model. Thanks
  • I don't see it on their website anymore. You might want to message them and ask about it since I know they made it for a while at least. (Obviously, since I have a 935 and definitely have a road ID)

I spoke on the phone today with a Road ID rep and she told me that they no longer have the ID's for the FR935/Fenix 5. When I asked why she only said that they didn't meet their standard. I'm not sure why the 20mm for the Fenix5S still meets their standard, but the 22mm no longer does. Anyone aware of another company that has something similar?
  • As a follow-up this is what I received from RoadID support when asking if the QF22 would work with the sidekick or Fenix version...

"Thank you for taking the time to write. We appreciate and understand your desire for an ID that will fit your specific watch/wearable, but we cannot say for certain whether any of our IDs will work. Developing ID plates for specific bands is a pretty tricky process, and we have to be extremely precise in order to ensure a perfect fit. In doing so, we can only guarantee that our IDs will work for the bands they were designed and manufactured for. That said, we are continuously expanding our ID lineup to include more wearables, and our Product Team will certainly be informed of your interest. Thanks again for reaching out. Don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do for you. "

Follow-up...found this...not as clean looking as the RoadID but should work. Will post pix when it arrives:

This arrived today...looks great...there's no velcro so not sure what anyone is talking about. It's basically a metal plate with a rubber band that slides over the strap. Fits snug and don't feel it at all on my wrist.

snortingbull You are correct. I emailed 1BandID and the new "Hug" has the elastic band that goes over the watch band and elimated the velcro fastener. They haven't updated the pics on the website yet. I'll be giving this one a try.
  • Reminds me, I did put some clear nail polish over the etching. After a few days it was getting pretty banged up on my wrist (I have it on the left hand, inside wrist...not underside). The nail polish will get scratched but should be able to gently remove that on occasion and reapply to have it look clear again.
