Walking.....use "Walk" or "Run" to sync with Training Peaks?

I'm trying to add walks to my recovery days using Training Peaks. I find that if I add the activity as "Walk" on Training Peaks, the "Walk" activity on Garmin doesn't sync. But if I use "Run" for both then it works..BUT...I don't want my walking to dilute my running data. Any ideas?
