Weather data from phone/wifi

I would like to know why the 935 cannot pull weather data from a phone for a data field on the main face. I switched to the 935 from Aple Watch for several reasons, and the only thing I miss (and miss a LOT) is putting the current temp—pulled from the phone data, not an internal sensor—on the main watch face. The watch face can pull sunset/sunrise, why not temperature?

Thanks! I think I might just be misunderstanding something.
  • Actually, there are some Connect IQ watch faces today that can do that (literally today, as yesterday with the 2.3.1 Connect IQ was released which allows this!)

    Here's one, for example:

    https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/abc0fde3-23d3-4c8d-92ec-a2fd14aeab2f

(I'm still testing a couple with weather and haven't published them yet)

And BTW, sunrise/sunset is usually calculated on the watch using the date, lat, and lon, and not pulled from another source

    Yay!

How funny - yes, there were some faces that came out the same day I posted this. I am running one now and I LOVE it. Thanks for the reply!

Wow, have been waiting for this a long time! What other watchfaces have this option?

I hope this means Garmin is not far behind in offering it as a data field in their stock watchfaces
