I am building custom workouts in Garmin Connect and downloading them to my 935. When I start the workout I am presented with a data screen with 3 fields of data that I cannot edit.
The top half of the screen is a data field with a Heart Rate gauge that shows my current heart rate and it has a heart icon dead center above it and this icon never moves.
The bottom left is the time remaining, or countdown, for the current step/lap I am in.
The bottom right is my current pace.
I train by Heart Rate and do the majority of my training on the treadmill.
The top half data field, since its a gauge that doesn't have a needle or anything that moves is useless for knowing if I am in my target range or not. I need to try to remember what my heart rate range is that I am targeting for that step/lap or rely on the beeping alerts when my heart rate goes to high or to low. I like to steadily increase my HR throughout the target range and this method doesn't lend itself to that.
The bottom left time remaining/countdown for the current step/lap I am in is great.
The bottom right pace i don't care about during training on the treadmill.
So logically i just tried to create my own data screen with the fields of data i need.
1. Is their a data field that a gauge with a needle or anything that moves so you can see if you are in your target range?
2. Better yet, if your target HR for a step/lap is for example 120-130, is there a data field that shows that target heart rate for the current step/lap you are in?
3. Is there a data field that shows a countdown for the current step/lap that you are in? Obviously its some where as the data screen that I am automatically presented when I start the workout has it, but when I try to create/customize my own data screen I don't see it.
If none of this is available out of the box, does anyone know of a specific app that would give me the data fields I need?
Thanks in Advance
