Can't sync new datafield during activity paused for "Resume Later"

I think this is a bug, not a huge one...I paused an activity with "Resume Later" option. Then tried syncing a new datafield to the watch via the Connect mobile app. Datafield will not sync. Tried about 5 times after disabling/enabling bluetooth etc.

I then went into the paused activity and discarded it. Then tried sync again and it worked. My guess is this is a bug, but not many people will ever see it!

Imagine that is deliberate - adding new CIQ fields to your watch mid activity probably has unpredictable results in some cases.

I'm with Tim on this being by design, and is not a ‘bug’ or defect.

One would expect the data fields the user wanted are installed and configured prior to starting a timed activity; and, if he didn't take care to do so but only thought to add it mid-activity, the oversight or mistake is his and not the firmware programmers'.
