HR data during activities long delay

hi, I used fr935 for three activities run. I noticed that in all the outputs hr value for the first 30 minutes is lower than the actual (at least 10), then seems to achieve true values. is normal, possible remedies? thank you .
Otherwise great watch.:)
  • What you mean with the optical heart rate and not a HR strap?

Is your watch strap quite tight? It needs to be so the OHR sensor lights on the back of the watch can't be seen and so give false readings.

It can also help to wear the watch slightly further up the wrist if you can.
  • If you're talking about data from OHR then yes it is possible. I was adviced when I bought F5 to wait for a while before starting session. Like press start buttons, then take my shoes a then start training. Hope this helps

    I mean OHR.
Leaving for a race so hr values immediately high. as you can be seen from here
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1682158651
After a good 31 minutes the value that you brought to the correct level
in this round always at high frequencies after 14 minutes
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1672920986

If the clock was incorrectly positioned or poorly adherent should never take proper values, however at some point starts properly.

Today with a ride quieter fc values lower almost immediately the correct values from the start and throughout the duration.
    The following visible differences
    with FR935 OHR
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1684379663
    with band hr
    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1684543057

be noted medium and almost identical ceilings.

Still very happy with my fr935, GPS, life, beauty, use ..

Thank you for the various contributions and I would like to understand and resolve these differences OHR values

Are you waiting for the Heart icon to stop flashing (as it settles into the correct value and locks on)? If not, that is your issue.

In retrospect I doubt that both Heart icon to stop flashing because, for example, before starting the race the clock was already waiting for about five minutes. Also the expectation of the gps is longer than the frequency hr.

I've found that the tricky part is that it doesn't always keep the lock once it finds it prior to starting the activity. It will go through stages of "flashing", then "lock", then "flashing" again.

    fr935 ORH is a "joke"
  • Would you care to elaborate @F3RIC? You've given us nothing to go on that led you to this profound and detailed observation. Do you have some activities you would care to share with us so we can see what you are encountering? Please let us know the steps you take prior to an activity? There maybe something you are doing there.

Note also, that while the 935 OHR might be better than it's predecessors, there are still inherent problems with OHR that are unlikely ever to be resolved. Currently, if you want good results you still need to use a chest strap that detects the electrical signals from the heart.

On GPS it is very similar, a bit difference on Altimeter calibration, but on HR comparison found great lacks on downhills, like 20/30 BPM's offset :
