Watch straps

So the 935 is compatible with the new range of Quickfit bands, but I assume I need a small screwdriver to remove the band it ships with, then replace that bar to "snap" on the quickfit bands?

Is it compatible with the 22mm wide Fenix 5 bands or the 20mm from the Fenix 5s?

I'm hoping some 3rd parties will release some cheaper bands, I like the look of the Slate Gray Stainless Steel but not at £130!!

Has anyone tried using the quickfit bands and are they simple to swop over?

I absolutely agree they are overpriced, but I think there is huge value in them being <10 sec to swap. It makes it so you can swap bands depending on what you're wearing, on your way to a meeting, etc..

I tried the quick fit 22 straps with he 935. They are a little longer than the original 935 band. I was also disappointed that it didn't feel as comfortable (although is fine with the fenix 5) on the 935.

2 minutes plus screwdriver to hand and hope you don't thread the screws if do it too often or 2 seconds and no tools - marginal gains and all that...

Pretty had to thread a T5 screw in my experience but everything is possible I suppose, as for "Marginal gains", I'll let you look up what Sir Brad had to say about that very recently ;-)

I've owned the fenix 3 for the best part of 2 years.

It does only take 2 minutes (and threading the screws was always a concern) but changing between the link bracelet and rubber straps was a hassle. Coming home from work, wanting to go for a run (for example)... really couldn't be asked when I just want to get out the door. This meant I hardly used the stainless steel bracelet which was a shame as it looked very nice. The changeable straps was one of the highlights of the fenix 5 (for me).

Almost hate to admit it, but I bought 3 quick connect bands from CT as they had 3 colors in stock. Not a huge benefit over standard bands and expensive, but I am trying to do my part to improve the US economy ;)

Watch Straps

I,ve been running these two piece heavy nato straps on my F3 and I just snagged a 935 and will be ordering some for it. They are $14.95 US each and they have lots of colors to choose from. The thinner version are only $11.95 The company is Clockworksynergy.
