Forerunner 735XT keeps asking and powering off

My Forerunner 735XT keeps asking me to power off (yes/no) and proceeds to power off on its own. I tried a soft reset - nothing and a hard reset - which took me many tries as the watch keeps powering off before I could get to the hard reset menu. It reset, asked for all the settings then proceeded to shut down. Any idea what is happening?

I am frustrated because my husbands 735XT just died a few weeks ago...now mine...

The on/off button is malfunctioning and keeps getting triggered by itself, that's what is happening. This is a common issue with the FR735XT, possibly due to water ingress. Replacement seems to be the only option. If the watch is still covered by warranty, then contact garmin support. And if not, then I'd still contact garmin support and see what they tell you.
