Any advice on using 735xt on tether. Or endless pool. I hear open swim , no gps is good. Will it approximate distance?
It will not approximate distance. You can use open water swimming mode with gps off, and you will get time and stroke rate, but no distance.

My watch has not arrived yet. Is there a need to calibrate it somehow before tethered swim like my Swimovate one
