Why does my watch not recording indoor cycling or recognising walking

My Garmin 735xt does not have a walk option. I have to record walks under Hiking. It is also not recording any ride on an i door trainer.

You can record the activity under another type, and then change it to the desired one in Garmin Connect. So you can change Hike to Walk, and you can create a custom activity profile by copying the standard cyling, and disabling the GPS option in it. You can also install a Connect IQ extension adding the desired profiles to your watch.

Actually the 735xt does have a built-in indoor bike profile. Not sure what OP means by not recording any ride on an i door trainer. Perhaps the issue is with connecting the trainer to the watch properly.
